The term "navigator" doesn't begin to cover the fields of expertise that Stan has mastered over the years. His resume reads like a historical novel. Besides being a renowned sailor and race navigator, Stan is an expert in celestial navigation, holds eight patents for technological advances in navigational systems and camera tracking devices that track things like ice hockey pucks and baseballs for TV. He even has a license to install and repair radar installations, to mention but a few.

He takes his inspiration from a wide base of knowledge, once naming his first company "ETAK" after the Polynesian navigators who viewed the world they sailed through as revolving around their canoe: a model Stan used to develop and patent modern in-car navigation systems. Stan is also rather tall and ironically his nav station on board is very, very small.
